Amsterdam

Me and my friend arrived to Amsterdam yesterday. We got to our hostel, unpacked and went out for dinner to an italian restaurant. Later in the evening we went out for drinks and came home late. Today we went on a canal cruise around this beautiful city.

Last night in Vienna

Walk in the park

Had croissants with egg and ham for breakfast and went out for a walk in the park nearby. Have been chilling in the common room now and checked in to our flights for tomorrow when we go to Amsterdam. We are even more excited to go there because Vienna is kinda old, cultural and not so popular amongst younger people while Amsterdam seems like a more hip and nice place for the younger.

Grabenstrasse

Had a lovely breakfast at a cafe nearby this morning followed by shopping. We went into the usual stores: H&M, Zara, Bershka and Forever 21. Just got myself some earrings and underwear. Later on we walked along the museumquarter and met up with our German friend that we met on the train when we got here. He showed us around in the main university of Vienna and we went to a cafe for some paninis and cappuccino. After that Lotta and I went to Graben strasse, which is the street with all the luxury brand boutiques: Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada, Burberry, YSL, Valentino, Gucci etc.. On our way home we got ourselfes some candy and a bottle of wine for tonight's dinnerparty.

Breakie and shopping

The weather seems nice today! We're now off to have breakfast at a cafe nearby and afterwards we'll go shopping!

Pop art & sightseeing

Slept until noon today so when we got up we went into town, walked around getting to know the city. We found the museumquarter and went to mumok museum where they have modern and pop art. We had dinner at Vapiano and went back to the hostel. All the fashion boutiques were closed so we'll do the shopping tomorrow.

Fyodor Golan Fashion Show

I went to see Maybelline's smoky eye tutorial and right after I went to Itsu for sushi.. again. After that I met up with Taylor and Angel and we went to see Fyodor Golan's show. Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman are known for creating conceptual approaches with hand details, 3D embroideries and exquisite shape and textures. The SS15 collection was a colour riot, as seen on the pics below. Sry for the bad quality. My camera is broken so I have to use my phone until I get a new one.

First day of LFW

London Fashion Week started last Friday but I headed out there today,  to London fashion weekend. We had tickets and got access to really interesting seminars. One on Styling a fashion and beauty shoot with Hello fashion monthly and another seminar with label.m 10 years with Toni&Guy. Tomorrow we are going to see a smoky eye tutorial with Maybeline and later on we get to see Fyodor Golan's catwalk show. I am so excited, their previous collections are so cool.

Portobello Road market and Mamma Mia

My mom's wishes during her London visit was to go to Portobello road and go see the Mamma Mia musical. So yesterday morning we visited the market and in the evening me and mom, Lotta and Linn went to see the musical. It was really fun and entertaining, much better than Cats, I must say. They could really sing and perform.

Italian lunch, frozen yoghurt and a visit to Harrods

Had nutella and strawberry pancakes for breakfast and just chilled out. Watched some fashion shows and took notes. After that mum and I had an appetizing dinner at Bella Italias and frozen yoghurt as dessert at yogland. Later on we went to Harrods. It was the very first time for me even though I've lived here for about 6 months now. But I haven't been too interested in going there but M really wanted to go so we went. Harvey Nichols was the other department store we visited and I liked that one much better. We are now just gonna chill the rest of the evening cause we're getting up early tomorrow to go to the Portobello Road market.

This Wednesday

On Wednesday after I got out of school I met up with Simon and we had lunch at TGI Friday's. After lunch we went to Waterloo for some sightseeing to see Big Ben and London Eye, we walked to Trafalgar Square and through St James Park to Buckingham palace. When we got home we made some drinks and got ready to go to the club. We had a fun night out and drank Sex on the beach pitches. Thursday morning we said good bye and he went back home to Finland and just 1 hour after that my mom and sister came here.

Electric Cinema

Yesterday we went to the known Electra cinema in Notting Hill, which was the best movie experience ever. They had big sofas, beds and the most comfortable armchairs to sit in. Footpalls and cashmere blancets to wrap around you. As much candy as you could fill your box with for £3,50. Open bar where they served champagne, beer, cider and brownies, cakes and a nachoplate with dips. I am definitely going there again and I hope everyone that ever goes to Notting Hill will try it out. I don't think I will ever be able to sit in a regular cinema where it's crowded and not so comfortable seats. We obviously went to see 50 shades of Grey. I haven't read the books and I thought the movie was fine. I didn't have high expectations. The actors were good and I loved the music. Especially The Weeknd- Earned it and Skylar Grey - I know you.

Got a visitor

My friend Simon came here yesterday to visit me so I haven't had time to post anything. I had a few meetings and a 3,5 hour class yesterday but we managed to go for a pizza and later in the evening we had a few beers and watched John Wick, which is one of the best movies I have seen for a while. Raw and filled with action. So today's class got cancelled so me and my friend went to Westfield for some shopping and dinner. And I also fulfilled his biggest wish and brought him to the 4 floor big Victoria's Secret store on New Bond Street. Later tonight me and my flatmate is taking him out for a surprise. I'll tell you about that later. Feeling so excited!

Sunday walk into town

Jumped into my lazy Sunday outfit and brought my camera and music for a walk into town. Went window shopping and tried on some outfits and just browsed through the products in a few stores.

Anti-Valentine event

Got invited to the house of illustration to attend an exhibition that opened. The name of it was unlucky courtship and it was an anti-valentine event. I felt really sophisticated walking around with a drink in my hand, watching art, listening to pop cultural music and mingling. It all kinda felt like taken from a movie but it was really nice and I met some people from the other classes I am in. Chatted to them for a while about plans for Valentine and we decided to go out to dinner then have cupcakes and drink some wine at our place. And maybe we'll go out aswell.

Oxford Street High street store musts

Stores to visit in Oxford Street:

1. Urban Outfitters

An American multinational clothing corporation selling clothing, footwear, and housewares, which largely draw from bohemian, hipster, retro and vintage styles. Besides from clothes, footwear, accessories you are most likely to find funny books, vinylplayers and records, longboards and other fun stuff that makes the store more intellectual from the other high street stores.

2. Bershka

Bershka's clothing is basic and preppy, but you can also find edgier styles.

3. River Island

Confident, stylish and fashion conscious people who are aware of the latest trends and technologies. River Island is my favorite!

Pure tradeshow

Perfect Friday

Sista dagen i fotokursen idag.

Going further down in Europe

Men kallt!
