Our journey didn't start off so good. We both overslept for like 3 hours and missed our flight. But luckily we managed to book a new one. We just had to get to another airport and fly via Rome. I could have stayed there. It was beautiful, looked like Summer and it was +16 degrees. When we arrived here it was as cold as in London. We have checked in to our hostel, had chickenburgers at KFC and now we're getting ready for a night out. I'll try to post as much as I can even though I just have my phone and slow wifi.
I went to see Maybelline's smoky eye tutorial and right after I went to Itsu for sushi.. again. After that I met up with Taylor and Angel and we went to see Fyodor Golan's show. Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman are known for creating conceptual approaches with hand details, 3D embroideries and exquisite shape and textures. The SS15 collection was a colour riot, as seen on the pics below. Sry for the bad quality. My camera is broken so I have to use my phone until I get a new one.
So now I am off to LFW for my second day. I am wearing this but with my ripped jeans instead and I'll bring my black coat since it's a bit too cold for shorts in my opinion. I would rather look good and be warm than look good and freeze my butt off. Haha, 2 years ago I would have gone there wearing anything that looked pretty even if it would have been - degrees. So I can proudly say I have grown more mature and smarter. At least a lil' bit, hehe.

I have followed Sonja Dradeluxe on instagram for a while now and I just love her make up looks! I have been watching her videos on youtube all night and I love her! She is so skilled, really funny and soo talented! I have gotten a lot of inspiration and I can't wait to try on some new looks and improve my not so much existing make up skills.
London Fashion Week started last Friday but I headed out there today, to London fashion weekend. We had tickets and got access to really interesting seminars. One on Styling a fashion and beauty shoot with Hello fashion monthly and another seminar with label.m 10 years with Toni&Guy. Tomorrow we are going to see a smoky eye tutorial with Maybeline and later on we get to see Fyodor Golan's catwalk show. I am so excited, their previous collections are so cool.
After school today I got interviewed for autre.fi and I also interviewed the girls for my final assignment in Style journalism. We had a fun time, ended up talking for 2 hours at one of my favorite restaurants Ponti's italian kitchen.

Since I moved to London I have discovered that my all time favorite food is sushi. They serve it at my school in small packages and I almost choose it everytime I decide to eat in the school's canteen. I had it for lunch today in between my marketing and entrepreneurship classes. I like it so much I even had it for breakfast a few weeks ago.

My mom's wishes during her London visit was to go to Portobello road and go see the Mamma Mia musical. So yesterday morning we visited the market and in the evening me and mom, Lotta and Linn went to see the musical. It was really fun and entertaining, much better than Cats, I must say. They could really sing and perform.
Had nutella and strawberry pancakes for breakfast and just chilled out. Watched some fashion shows and took notes. After that mum and I had an appetizing dinner at Bella Italias and frozen yoghurt as dessert at yogland. Later on we went to Harrods. It was the very first time for me even though I've lived here for about 6 months now. But I haven't been too interested in going there but M really wanted to go so we went. Harvey Nichols was the other department store we visited and I liked that one much better. We are now just gonna chill the rest of the evening cause we're getting up early tomorrow to go to the Portobello Road market.
Fell inlove with a few pieces from Porsche Design and Vera Wang.
On Wednesday after I got out of school I met up with Simon and we had lunch at TGI Friday's. After lunch we went to Waterloo for some sightseeing to see Big Ben and London Eye, we walked to Trafalgar Square and through St James Park to Buckingham palace. When we got home we made some drinks and got ready to go to the club. We had a fun night out and drank Sex on the beach pitches. Thursday morning we said good bye and he went back home to Finland and just 1 hour after that my mom and sister came here.
Yesterday we went to the known Electra cinema in Notting Hill, which was the best movie experience ever. They had big sofas, beds and the most comfortable armchairs to sit in. Footpalls and cashmere blancets to wrap around you. As much candy as you could fill your box with for £3,50. Open bar where they served champagne, beer, cider and brownies, cakes and a nachoplate with dips. I am definitely going there again and I hope everyone that ever goes to Notting Hill will try it out. I don't think I will ever be able to sit in a regular cinema where it's crowded and not so comfortable seats. We obviously went to see 50 shades of Grey. I haven't read the books and I thought the movie was fine. I didn't have high expectations. The actors were good and I loved the music. Especially The Weeknd- Earned it and Skylar Grey - I know you.
My friend Simon came here yesterday to visit me so I haven't had time to post anything. I had a few meetings and a 3,5 hour class yesterday but we managed to go for a pizza and later in the evening we had a few beers and watched John Wick, which is one of the best movies I have seen for a while. Raw and filled with action. So today's class got cancelled so me and my friend went to Westfield for some shopping and dinner. And I also fulfilled his biggest wish and brought him to the 4 floor big Victoria's Secret store on New Bond Street. Later tonight me and my flatmate is taking him out for a surprise. I'll tell you about that later. Feeling so excited!
Every Sunday should be pancake Sunday. Just sayin'.
Jumped into my lazy Sunday outfit and brought my camera and music for a walk into town. Went window shopping and tried on some outfits and just browsed through the products in a few stores.
So today is wine and cupcake day, also known as Valentine's Day. I have done nothing special for the entire day except from some homework. And besides that I have slept half of the day and made myself a legit salmonpasta. So for dessert and to celebrate today's special occasion we are opening a bottle of wine and eating Lola's cupcakes.
Got invited to the house of illustration to attend an exhibition that opened. The name of it was unlucky courtship and it was an anti-valentine event. I felt really sophisticated walking around with a drink in my hand, watching art, listening to pop cultural music and mingling. It all kinda felt like taken from a movie but it was really nice and I met some people from the other classes I am in. Chatted to them for a while about plans for Valentine and we decided to go out to dinner then have cupcakes and drink some wine at our place. And maybe we'll go out aswell.
I put together an outfit with my side slit skirt for the first time even though I ordered it from nelly.com months ago. I combined it with a printed tee, sneakers and a big gold chain necklace to make it a little less feminine. I don't usually wear skirts and dresses unless I go clubbing but I have lately grown quite fond of them and I am longing for Summer so I can start using them on an everyday basis and match them with crop tops, tops and other pieces made from light fabrics.

Nicholas K showed off a collection using a disorted, abstract theme that still looks modern today and incorporating it with a dark gothic element, thinking about the Victorian times and steampunk.
Kanye West showed off his collaboration work with Adidas at NYFW yesterday, a collection he has been working on for 18 months. Military is the key and the collection came together from the shadow of the London riots. Over all I liked the collection and I picked out some favorite pieces. And a big thumb up for the diversity in choosing models with diffrent bodytypes and shapes.
Valentine's day is coming up and I put together the perfect look for a romantic dinner with your love or dinner with friends. Works for both. Elegant and classy pieces in neutral colours. For a night out you could change the beige clutch and sandals for a black studded handbag/clutch and black stilettos.
Did a quick manicure today using products from Depend and Premier. Started off with oiling in my cuticles and before applying the colour I put a base coat on, then applied 2 layers of H&M's nailspolish and finished by applying a top coat. The base and top coats are essential to keep the polish last longer and getting an even result.
